Crime Acquittance rate in India is half of the world's total crime acquittance .
Crime acquittance rate suggests the rate of persons being found "not guilty" after they are convicted for a crime.
The diagram shows an alarming figure , which show the acquittance rate in India is dangerously high : This clearly speaks of serious loop holes in the judiciary well exploited by the lawyers since they are the ones who defend the criminals .
If judiciary is debated to be clean - then police structure should be seriously questioned - as to why so many are "falsely convicted " ?
The second in the list itself is so much far - making a mockery of our police and judiciary system

Isn't this interesting? I came across link to your post in FB. I wrote on similar lines in 2006. 6% gets convicted in India against 55% in USA, which says a lot abt our legal system. You may take a quick read of - http://creddy.blogspot.com/2006/02/do-we-have-legal-system.html
ReplyDeleteHi Changa reddy- It was a great blog from you . very interesting inputs there. Somewhere either judiciary / police is failing miserably.
